Chelichele WashedEthiopia

A light, balanced and very sweet coffee. Fruity blueberry meets floral notes of white tea and orange blossom.

The cultivation methods in this region are largely traditional and do not require the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The coffee producers are small farmers who grow their coffee in so-called „Coffee Gardens“ in mixed cultivation with other crops.

The ripe coffee cherries are harvested by hand and transported to the washing station. There the pre-sorted beans are first peeled and then fermented for 36-48 hours. The washed beans are then dried in the sun for about 18 days until they are ready for export with a residual moisture of about 11.5%.
