The Arabica beans of our coffee from Burundi thrive in the favourable climate of the Muyinga region in northeastern Burundi under optimal conditions. The volcanic soils at an altitude of 1550 metres supply the coffee plants with nutrients. The small farmers, who produce the coffee and are organised in cooperatives, ensure the quality of their products from harvesting, washing and fermentation to sorting by hand. The result is a clear cup with silky body and a pleasant interplay of caramel sweetness and lively acidity.
